This was my first time being RigSim Lead for a WoW show. I had gotten very comfortable being Lead on Overwatch shows, as they are meant to be fast and light for the studio. WoW shows, however, put a lot more time and effort into every single aspect of the cinematic including simulations! It was very fun getting to do simulations again, and this time as Lead I got to have a hand in the entire show's look and feel for sims.
Both Varok and Anduin had been used in previous shows, so we had learned a lot of what worked and didn't work for these characters in their simulations. This show we worked hard to improve our sim rigs based on our previous experiences, not only to improve the end product but to improve the RigSim artists' experiences when working with these characters.
